Multishop Launch Showcases Student Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit at the University of Jaffna
The University Business Linkage Cell (UBL) Jaffna, with investment facilitated by The Gate Institute’s Gate for Innovation Venture and Entrepreneurship (GIVE) project (https://www.give.community/), launched “Multishop – Promoting Student Entrepreneurship” on 15 October 2025 at the University of Jaffna.
This initiative was created to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit on campus, inspire innovative thinking, and strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and the wider community. The event featured a vibrant collection of student-led business activities, where students and staff jointly managed food stalls, soup counters, and packaged food ventures—demonstrating hands-on enterprise skills, creativity, and teamwork.
Representatives from The Gate Institute participated in the event, interacted with students, explored their entrepreneurial ideas, and offered valuable guidance and encouragement.
The Multishop event served as a dynamic platform for student engagement, knowledge sharing, and community interaction. By showcasing emerging talent and supporting new entrepreneurial ambitions, the initiative contributed meaningfully to strengthening the region’s growing innovation and startup ecosystem.
