Gate Institute Signs MoU with Karnataka Government–Helix Biotech Park to Advance Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The Gate Institute has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka Government–Helix Biotech Park, IBAB Campus to strengthen entrepreneurial research, enhance knowledge and skill development, and advance innovation efforts across both regions.
The MoU was formalised during the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025, held in Coimbatore on 9–10 October and organised by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The partnership marks an important step in fostering cross-border collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
The Helix Biotech Park, IBAB Campus is a leading National Higher Education Institution in Karnataka, India, established in 2009.
The IBAB Campus expressed strong interest in supporting entrepreneurial activity and innovation in Sri Lanka through the Gate for Innovation Venture and Entrepreneurship (GIVE) initiative of The Gate Institute. This collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for joint research, capacity-building programmes, and innovation-led enterprise development.
The agreement reinforces The Gate Institute’s commitment to building a vibrant digital entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sri Lanka and expanding pathways for emerging entrepreneurs and researchers.
