Gate Institute Strengthens Regional Innovation Ties at Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025

The Gate Institute actively participated in the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025, held on 9–10 October at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, to strengthen regional and cross-border entrepreneurial linkages. Inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin, the summit was organised by Startup TN under the MSME Department. It featured over 750 stalls, 150 speakers, and participants from more than 40 countries.

A six-member delegation from The Gate Institute, together with representatives from the University of Jaffna and the Northern Chamber of Industries, engaged with investors, mentors, and ecosystem enablers throughout the event. The Gate Institute also hosted a dedicated stall showcasing its entrepreneurship programmes and student ventures through the GIVE (Gate for Innovation Venture and Entrepreneurship) platform. The engagement resulted in the registration of thirty new mentors and generated notable interest from potential investors.

Delegates attended sessions on enterprise growth, inclusive entrepreneurship, and policy frameworks that support informed cross-border collaboration. Key strategic outcomes included the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Karnataka Government–Innovation Wing and Digri.ai to collaborate on joint training, research, and AI-driven skill development for students.

Participation in TNGSS 2025 further strengthened The Gate Institute’s role as a regional innovation bridge—advancing inclusive, women-led, and community-driven entrepreneurial ecosystems across Sri Lanka and India.
