Meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the Open University of Sri Lanka

Delegates of  The Gate Institute met with Prof. P.M.C. Thilakerathne, Vice Chancellor of the Open University of Sri Lanka, at his office on 5 December 2024.

This meeting discussed how the Open University of Sri Lanka and The Gate Institute could collaborate to implement the recently launched Gate for Innovation Venture and Entrepreneurship (GIVE) platform.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his view that the GIVE platform has great potential to promote entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka, especially in the war-torn Vanni region, and stated that he would explore signing an MoU with The Gate Institute.

Professor R. Senthilnithy and Professor Dayan Ilayperuma from the Open University attended the meeting, as well as Dr Senthan Selvarajah, Mr Jayaraj Kulasekaram, Mr Sathasivam Mangaleswaran, and Ms Mathangie Selvarajah from The Gate Institute, UK/ Sri Lanka.
