The Gate Institute Delegates Meet with Northern Province Governor

Representatives of The Gate Institute met with Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayagam, Governor of the Northern Province, on 2 December 2024 and briefed him on initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the Northern Province.

In this meeting, the Gate Institute representatives congratulated Mr Vethanayagam on his appointment as the Governor of the Northern Province, commended his efforts to improve the lives of the war-affected and poor people during his tenure as the Governor of the Jaffna District, and expressed their hope that many more developments can be expected in the Northern Province during his tenure as Governor.

The meeting specifically discussed creating market opportunities for the products of local producers in the Northern Province, both locally and abroad.
