Two Days Workshop on Strategic Interventions for MSME Growth in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka
A two-day workshop for entrepreneurs, ‘Unlocking Potential: Strategic Interventions for MSME Growth in the Northern Province’, was held at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna in Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi, from 29-30 November 2024.
The University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell, University of Jaffna, Tamil Ventures LP, USA, and The Gate Institute jointly organised the event.
Prof. R.Surenthirakumaran, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Prof. Kandiah Pakeerathan, Director, University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell, University of Jaffna, Ms Jasmine Jeyamalar, Chamber of Commerce, Northern Province, Sri Lanka, Dr Senthan Selvarajah, CEO and Co-Founder of The Gate Institute, Mr Parthipan Paramsothy, Co-Founder and Managing Partners, Tamil Venture LP, USA, Mr Thillai Kumaran, Co-Founders and Managing Partners, Tamil Venture LP, USA, Ms Mathangie Selvarajah, Director, The Gate Institute, Sri Lanka, Mr Kanes Rajah, Executive Director, Center for Executive and Professional Development, UK and Senior Academic and RAU Chair in Entrepreneurship Royal Agricultural University, UK, and Mr. Anu Rakavan, Manager, University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell, University of Jaffna also addressed the event.

The 20 selected entrepreneurs who participated in the seminar were advised on successfully pursuing their existing or new business ideas. Information about future marketing and investment facilities was also shared.
