MoU with The Eastern University, Sri Lanka, to Establish a Technopark in Batticaloa

The Eastern University, Sri Lanka, and The Gate Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 20 September 2024 to establish a collaborative partnership to establish a Techno Park at the EUSL.

The Techno Park aims to foster innovation, research, and entrepreneur development and support the local economy by providing space for technology-based businesses and startups.

. V. Kanagasingam, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University in Sri Lanka, and Ms. Mathangie Selvarajah, Director of The Gate Institute, Sri Lanka, signed the MoU.

Both parties agreed to start cooperation under the following key objectives: Support Technology-Based Innovators, Enhance Economic and Social Development, Facilitate Technology Adoption, Promote University-Industry Collaboration, Provide Comprehensive Support Services and Encourage Entrepreneurial Skills Development.
